My son has been coming here once a week for eight months. He was referred here because he had really bad eating habits. He was diagnosed with P.D.D. two years ago and has had eating issues his whole life. Before coming here my son ate mostly chicken meals from fast food restaurants. He would not eat fruit, vegetables or dairy, only junk food. He was in the sixth grade, chubby and his last physical exam showed he had high cholesterol.Since we started here at Hand&Body Mechanix, my son only eats chicken fast food maybe once a month and no more junk food. He eats what I make for the family for dinner, including vegetables. He sets the table and clears it. He even enjoys helping to cook. He has lost two pants sizes and has gained a greater self-esteem. When we first started, my son wore his jacket zipped up and hood on always, like a security blanket. Now I can't get him to wear a jacket at all.
