Hand&Body Mechanix Success Stories

My son has been coming here once a week for eight months. He was referred here because he had really bad eating habits. He was diagnosed with P.D.D. two years ago and has had eating issues his whole life. Before coming here my son ate mostly chicken meals from fast food restaurants. He would not eat fruit, vegetables or dairy, only junk food. He was in the sixth grade, chubby and his last physical exam showed he had high cholesterol.

Since we started here at Hand&Body Mechanix, my son only eats chicken fast food maybe once a month and no more junk food. He eats what I make for the family for dinner, including vegetables. He sets the table and clears it. He even enjoys helping to cook. He has lost two pants sizes and has gained a greater self-esteem. When we first started, my son wore his jacket zipped up and hood on always, like a security blanket. Now I can't get him to wear a jacket at all.

Everyone there is caring and nice. I feel such a sense of relief.

The concern that the staff shows is genuine! As much as I dreaded coming to O.T. because of the discomfort, the staff here never pushed me. Pain is not what you're there for! You go to Hand&Body Mechanix to get better and they make you feel comfortable. I have been in the healthcare field for 16 years and they are the best in the Santa Clarita Valley.

My 17 year old daughter is a patient at Hand&Body Mechanix. From the very beginning, I was comfortable that we had selected the right clinic. The time they take to get to know you individually is very impressive. You are treated as a person not a diagnosis. Your background, interests, motivation, desires and concerns are all important to every member of the staff. I would strongly recommend them to my friends and family.

Joan from Hand&Body Mechanix has been treating me for tennis elbow for a few months now. I had been in pain for approximately 6 months with no relief in sight. Joan has been persistent and patient in her approach to the treatment of my injury. After trying a few different therapies with marginal results, Joan started doing deep tissue messages from my hand to my shoulder and neck and as a result I am experiencing relief from the pain. She is really strong for such a petite lady (great message!) I find her very professional, compassionate and pleasant to work with. I would recommend her to anyone experiencing long term issues with tennis elbow.

You are a heaven sent. Thank you for helping me with both of my hands, teaching me how to use my hands in daily life to improve and adapt myself with CTS! I look forward to my continued therapy. Your help has given me hope and I learned a lot from all your teachings. Thank you for your understanding and compassion.

The difference between my first rehab clinic and Hand&Body Mechanix has been night and day. Hand&Body Mechanix has extended hours that better fit my busy schedule, they patiently explain why they are treating me certain ways, they are completely devoted to my full recovery, and are friendly, smart, caring group. I couldn't be happier that I found them.

It is hard to put in small words because I feel my time spent (1 hour 3 times a week for 4 weeks) was well, in fact better then well, having Joan take care of my needs,She is capable in "all ways" to give her all to show she cares about each patient. It is very efficient, supplies always at finger tips when needed, and a clean and very pleasant atmosphere. She can satisfy one to have an answer ready when asked about her work on each individual. In fact I am spoiled because I don't think there could be another one like her, and her helpers are very well versed on necessary care for each one. God bless Joan!!!

Without Hand&Body Mechanix I would not have the strength or ability to do my daily activities. They are not only therapist that give you back your daily routine, they are friends that keep your spirits up.

As a soon to be professional pianist my wrists began aching one day for no apparent reason. Hand&Body Mechanix has helped me increase my flexibility and strength, putting me on a road to a fabulous and pain free recovery. I owe my future of playing to them.

I had ulnar nerve and carpal tunnel surgery since March 2002. Without hand therapy I don't think that I would have had the same results on my incisions. I learned that proper care after surgery would help in the healing process. I am very pleased with the individual attention and care that I receive from Hand&Body Mechanix. Not only do I get care for my problems, but I also get educated in the process. Having Joan Richter as my therapist is a blessing. She genuinely cares about her patients and listens, which is very important to me. My goal is to go back to work in October and with the help of Joan I think that is going to be possible.

Professionalism, depth of knowledge, carefully crafted individual attention, creativity and genuine concern are qualities prayed for when seeking treatment for serious life changing disabilities.

Hand&Body Mechanix meets and exceeds these requisites.

At a time when prescribing debilitating drugs or high risk surgery appeared as the only alternatives to achieving a normal pain free existence, Joan Richter, of Hand&Body Mechanix developed and implemented a non-invasive program which not only minimized or eliminated severe back, knee and ankle pain and returned a more natural range of motion to each, but assisted in re-defining the foundation of my body's ability to once again enjoy the rigors and rewards of an active and fulfilling life. welcome01.jpg

A long road to recovery shortened by excellence and practiced compassion.
